Newark Art Supply is the brainchild of Ade Tugbiyele Sedita and Christopher J. Sedita, both graduates of the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s School of Architecture and Newark residents.
Ade is also an award-winning local artist.
About Newark Art Supply
Newark Art Supply will contribute meaningfully to the economy of Newark while strengthening the artist community. Unlike traditional art supply or retail stores, in conjunction with supplying "hard" supplies it will set the stage for "soft" supplies to emerge. Soft supplies, or ideas, will be generated from relationships developed within the space as individuals meet for art workshops and community events.
We will offer a large variety of art and craft supplies focusing on those items that are the immediate needs of local artists, as well as visual art and architecture students We will offer classes as well as hold art-related events such as live music, figure drawing and movie nights. We are your neighborhood art supply store!
